Geo Access & Compliance
1. Geographic Access Restrictions
Wigiwork operates in compliance with international laws, sanctions, export controls, and regulatory obligations, including GDPR, UK GDPR, and applicable U.S. laws.
As a result, certain regions may have limited or no access to Wigiwork's services.
Wigiwork may block, limit, or deny access to the platform from locations where:
- operation is prohibited by law;
- sanctions or embargoes apply (e.g., OFAC, EU, UK, UN sanctions);
- elevated fraud risk has been identified;
- regulatory or compliance requirements cannot be met.
Wigiwork is not obligated to provide service in all jurisdictions and may restrict access based on legal, compliance, fraud-prevention, or risk considerations.
2. Verification Based on Region
Wigiwork may require additional verification for users located in, or accessing the platform from:
- higher-risk jurisdictions;
- regions with elevated fraud activity;
- locations where additional compliance checks are legally required.
Wigiwork may refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate service where verification cannot be completed or where risk or compliance concerns are identified.
Verification requirements may vary by region and may include automated and manual assessment processes.
3. Prohibited & Restricted Regions
Wigiwork may restrict or block access from regions subject to:
- international sanctions,
- export-control restrictions,
- political instability,
- documented patterns of fraud or identity misuse.
Restrictions may apply to:
- individuals located in a prohibited region;
- individuals using VPNs, proxies, or routing services to obscure location;
- activity that indicates residency or operation within a restricted region.
Wigiwork does not publish specific criteria, signals, or internal logic used to determine high-risk or restricted regions.
4. Compliance With International Law
Users agree not to access or use Wigiwork from any jurisdiction where such use:
- violates applicable sanctions or export-control laws;
- breaches local regulatory requirements;
- creates legal, compliance, or safety risks for Wigiwork.
Users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable regional laws, including data protection, employment, sanctions, and export-control regulations.
5. Right to Suspend or Terminate Access
Wigiwork may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to accounts that:
- attempt to bypass geographic blocks or compliance restrictions;
- use VPNs or proxies to evade sanctions controls;
- provide false or misleading location information;
- are associated with high-risk or prohibited jurisdictions;
- pose a threat to platform integrity, user safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, including attempts to game the system, scrape data, misuse platform features, or engage in behavior Wigiwork reasonably determines to be inappropriate or harmful.
Wigiwork may require identity or location verification before restoring access.
Wigiwork may take immediate action without prior notice where required to comply with law or protect platform integrity.
6. No Disclosure of Geo-Detection Methods
To protect system integrity and prevent circumvention, Wigiwork does not disclose:
- geo-detection methods;
- risk signals or criteria;
- internal logic used to assess a user's location.
Any attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass, or evade geographic or compliance restrictions is prohibited.
7. Platform-Determined Location & Compliance Decisions
Wigiwork may determine, adjust, or verify a user's apparent location based on information necessary for safety, compliance, fraud prevention, or risk assessment purposes.
This determination may differ from location information provided by the user.
Wigiwork may, at its discretion:
- restrict or limit features;
- require additional verification;
- deny or suspend access;
- apply geographic rules;
- enforce regional blocks;
- adjust visibility or eligibility
based on Wigiwork's internal assessment of the user's location.
Wigiwork may assign, adjust, or override a user's geographic classification where location cannot be reliably verified.
If a user's declared location is inconsistent with system signals, Wigiwork may apply restrictions, adjust access, or require additional verification.
Wigiwork may request documentation or other proof to verify a user's location where required.
Such information is used solely for verification purposes and is not retained beyond what is necessary to complete the verification process, subject to legal, regulatory, or compliance obligations.
Use of VPNs, proxies, or other methods to obscure or misrepresent location may result in restricted access, reassignment of location status, suspension, or termination of the account.
Users acknowledge that Wigiwork's location and compliance determinations are final and that Wigiwork is under no obligation to disclose the detection methods, criteria, or underlying signals used.
Wigiwork reserves sole discretion in determining a user's effective location for access, compliance, and platform operation.
