Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Last updated:

This page defines the official Acceptable Use Policy for Wigiwork, including prohibited activities, identity protection rules, platform integrity standards, data use restrictions, and enforcement measures.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and restrictions governing access to and use of the Wigiwork platform by all users, including employers, recruiters, authorized users, candidates, and any individual or entity accessing Wigiwork's services.

This AUP forms an integral part of the Wigiwork Terms of Service. By accessing or using Wigiwork, you agree to comply with this Policy.

Wigiwork may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate this AUP and may take additional action where necessary to protect platform integrity, user safety, or legal compliance.

1. Core Principles

Wigiwork is a privacy-first, anonymous-by-default professional network designed to protect identity and enable controlled access to opportunities.

All users must act responsibly, lawfully, and respectfully, and must not interfere with:

  • candidate anonymity and confidentiality
  • platform integrity and trust
  • system security and availability
  • fair, ethical, and lawful hiring practices
  • the rights and safety of other users

Any attempt to undermine anonymity, exploit platform mechanics, or misuse data is a serious violation.

While Wigiwork implements systems to protect anonymity, users must also act responsibly. Misuse of access, data, or communication tools may compromise anonymity and is strictly prohibited.

2. Age Eligibility

Wigiwork is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older.

Users under 18 may not create accounts, manage profiles, contact candidates, request access, post jobs, use messaging tools, or participate in hiring workflows.

This rule helps protect user privacy, consent, platform integrity, and lawful hiring compliance. Wigiwork may restrict, suspend, or remove accounts if it believes a user does not meet the minimum age requirement.

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited.

3.1 Identity Fishing & De-Anonymization Attempts

You must not:

  • attempt to identify, unmask, infer, or guess a candidate's identity
  • request personal identity outside approved access workflows
  • cross-reference Wigi Snapshot details to identify an individual
  • use external data sources, OSINT tools, AI inference, or social media to deanonymize users
  • ask candidates for selfies, ID documents, LinkedIn profiles, phone numbers, emails, or real names unless explicitly permitted
  • pressure or coerce candidates into revealing identity

Wigiwork is an anonymous network. Anonymity must always be respected. Any attempt to bypass or undermine anonymity protections may result in immediate suspension or termination and potential legal action.

3.2 Scraping, Harvesting & Data Extraction

You must not:

  • scrape, copy, harvest, or export platform data
  • use bots, crawlers, scripts, automation tools, or AI agents
  • build datasets or external systems using Wigiwork data
  • reverse-engineer or replicate platform models, logic, or workflows
  • mine candidate or employer data for resale, reuse, or intelligence gathering

This prohibition applies to manual, automated, and AI-assisted extraction, including the use of third-party tools, external datasets, or AI systems to reconstruct or infer identity.

This includes training, fine-tuning, or evaluating machine learning or AI models using any Wigiwork data.

3.3 Misuse of Messaging & Communication Tools

You must not:

  • send spam, bulk, or unsolicited messages
  • send harassing, abusive, deceptive, or discriminatory content
  • request sensitive personal information
  • coerce candidates into revealing identity
  • misrepresent job details, compensation, company identity, or hiring authority
  • offer employment under false pretenses

All messaging must remain professional, truthful, and compliant with platform rules.

You must not attempt to move conversations off-platform for the purpose of bypassing anonymity, access controls, or platform protections

Any information obtained through messaging must be treated as confidential and used only for legitimate hiring purposes in accordance with the Terms of Service.

3.4 Circumventing Access Controls

You must not:

  • bypass credit, approval, or access requirements
  • operate multiple accounts to evade limits or enforcement
  • impersonate organizations or individuals
  • share paid access, credits, or snapshots with unauthorized parties
  • access features or data without proper authorization

Candidate identity and details may be accessed only through Wigiwork's approved workflows. Any attempt to retain, reuse, or distribute such data outside permitted use is strictly prohibited.

These restrictions apply even after access has been revoked, expired, or the hiring process has concluded.

3.5 Security Violations

You must not:

  • probe, scan, or test platform vulnerabilities
  • attempt to breach authentication, encryption, or firewalls
  • upload malware, exploits, bots, or harmful code
  • interfere with platform operation or availability
  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data

Security issues must be reported immediately via responsible disclosure.

Any attempt to test, probe, or exploit the platform without authorization may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

3.6 Discrimination, Harassment & Abuse

You must not engage in or promote:

  • discrimination based on protected characteristics
  • harassment, hate speech, or abusive conduct
  • illegal or unethical hiring practices
  • threats, coercion, or violent behavior

Wigiwork supports fair, lawful, and ethical hiring only.

3.7 Illegal, Fraudulent, or Misleading Use

You must not use Wigiwork to:

  • engage in illegal activity
  • commit fraud or misrepresentation
  • post fake or misleading job listings
  • misstate compensation, role scope, or company identity
  • gather intelligence on competitors
  • create deceptive employer or candidate profiles

All accounts must remain truthful, accurate, and compliant with professional standards.

Wigiwork may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required.

3.8 WigiPic™ Misuse & Photo-to-Avatar Abuse

You must not misuse WigiPic™ or the photo-to-avatar feature, including:

  • uploading offensive, explicit, hateful, illegal, or misleading images
  • generating avatars for impersonation or identity fraud
  • reverse-engineering or matching avatars to real individuals
  • inferring gender, ethnicity, age, appearance, or protected traits
  • referencing WigiPics in hiring decisions
  • exporting, storing, copying, or repurposing WigiPics externally
  • using WigiPics in marketing, branding, or external communications
  • attempting to bypass anonymity via avatar analysis

WigiPics are symbolic representations, not likeness tools.

Uploaded photos are processed once and permanently deleted and are not stored by Wigiwork after processing.

Misuse constitutes a serious anonymity and confidentiality violation and may result in termination or legal action.

WigiPic outputs are intended for use within Wigiwork or by the user for personal representation. They must not be used to impersonate others, mislead, or be deployed in competing platforms, datasets, or external systems designed to replicate Wigiwork functionality.

4. Employer & Recruiter Obligations

Employers and authorized users must:

  • respect candidate anonymity and privacy
  • post accurate, lawful job information
  • use data solely for legitimate hiring purposes
  • comply with access, credit, and communication rules
  • ensure only verified team members access accounts
  • comply with applicable employment laws

Employers are responsible for all actions taken by their team members, contractors, and authorized users under their account.

5. Platform Integrity & Fair Use

You must not disrupt or degrade the platform, including through:

  • excessive or abusive usage
  • bulk actions that create operational risk
  • abuse of free trials or promotional credits
  • manipulation of ranking, matching, or visibility systems

Wigiwork may throttle, restrict, suspend, or remove accounts to protect system stability, platform integrity, and user trust.

6. Reporting Violations

Suspected violations may be reported to [email protected].

Reports should include, where possible:

  • description of the violation
  • user or employer involved
  • supporting evidence or screenshots

Wigiwork may request additional information.

Wigiwork may act on reports at its sole discretion and is not obligated to disclose investigation outcomes.

7. Consequences of Violations

Wigiwork may take appropriate action, including:

  • warnings or guidance
  • removal of content
  • forfeiture of credits
  • messaging or posting restrictions
  • temporary suspension
  • permanent termination of accounts
  • legal action where appropriate

Wigiwork may also notify affected users or authorities where required by law, regulation, or where necessary to protect users or the platform.

8. Relationship to Other Policies

This AUP is intended to protect user privacy, platform integrity, anonymity, and lawful use. It does not create additional warranties or guarantees beyond those described in Wigiwork's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
