1. Your Rights as a Candidate on Wigiwork

Wigiwork is designed to help you explore new opportunities safely, privately, and on your own terms.

1.1 The right to remain anonymous

You may:

  • Use an anonymous or pseudonymous profile
  • Hide personally identifying details (name, email, phone, real photo)
  • Reveal Wigiwork-controlled identity and contact details only when you choose
  • Decline or Revoke Profile Access at any time

Employers are strictly prohibited from attempting to deanonymize you.

While Wigiwork is designed to keep you anonymous and applies safeguards to protect your identity, no system can guarantee that identification is impossible in all circumstances. Any references to being "anonymous," "stay anonymous," "hidden from your boss," "anonymous by default," or similar describe Wigiwork's privacy-by-design approach and your control over your identity — they are not an absolute guarantee against your own actions or external factors outside Wigiwork's control.

Public Discoverability is enabled by default and may be disabled after onboarding. It controls whether your protected Public profile appears in public Wigiwork search, supported external search and discovery services, and future Wigiwork outreach. Its effects and limits are described in Visibility & Identity Controls.

Wigiwork-controlled identity and contact fields remain hidden in Public view. Granting Profile Access does not make those fields public. Information you enter into visible fields may still affect identifiability. Full controls and cache limitations are described in Visibility & Identity Controls.

Work-experience titles are visible in anonymous-facing profile views. You are responsible for choosing titles and other visible profile information that do not identify you, your employer, your client, a unique project, or a unique team where you want to remain anonymous.

1.2 The right to control who sees you

You may:

  • Approve or deny employer-initiated Access Requests
  • Create and manage External Private Share Links where supported
  • Revoke Profile Access at any time
  • Block companies
  • Choose remote-discovery regions and manage who can discover you through the available privacy controls

When approved Profile Access expires, is revoked, or otherwise ends, lightweight access-history information is retained for 12 months. Wigiwork does not retain an old copy or snapshot of your profile solely for this history.

1.3 The right to explore safely (NDA-Safe™)

Wigiwork uses anonymous and NDA-Safe™ workflows to ensure:

  • Your job search stays private
  • Employers cannot request identity too early
  • You remain protected throughout early exploration
  • Wigiwork-controlled direct identity and contact details are not revealed without explicit approval

Your current employer will not be notified by Wigiwork that you are browsing, subject to system limitations and user actions.

Wigiwork automatically applies employer-conflict protection to all companies correctly identified in your Work Experience, subject to the available candidate controls. These protections apply to relevant discovery, matching, and outreach workflows and depend on accurate company identification. Full controls and limitations are described in Visibility & Identity Controls.

1.4 The right to decline, ignore, block, or withdraw

You may freely:

  • Ignore any message or request
  • Decline any employer-initiated Access Request
  • Revoke or delete any External Private Share Link you created
  • Block any employer at any time
  • Withdraw from any conversation or opportunity

Wigiwork does not penalize you for declining, blocking, or withdrawing, and declining an Access Request is treated as a valid response. Timely responses to Access Requests may support your profile presentation and ordering as one of several activity signals, so not responding at all may mean this signal is not applied to you; this is not a penalty for declining. Your visibility, ranking, matching, or opportunities may also change based on your settings, availability, blocked employers, profile completeness, moderation, compliance, platform rules, or system changes.

1.5 The right to update your information

You may update your skills, experience, role preferences, salary or rate expectations, availability, visibility modes, and visibility filters. Your changes are applied through Wigiwork-controlled systems and usually take effect quickly, subject to processing, caching, security review, moderation, system delays, and applicable law.

1.6 Salary or Rate Expectations

You set your own salary or rate expectation. Wigiwork does not determine what you are worth.

Wigiwork applies minimum advertising thresholds. Your rate must meet the minimum for your pricing market before your profile can be advertised. You may advertise in your own country's market at that market's rates, or in the remote-only Global Market, which excludes searches in your home-country market regardless of the searching company's location. These thresholds protect fair pay across the platform. They do not set, guarantee, or cap what you may actually agree with an employer.

Your salary or rate expectation is displayed on Fully Anonymous, Semi-Anonymous, and Open Profile profiles and is not hidden by your selected visibility mode.

Your salary or rate expectation may affect matching, search results, employer filters, and employer interest. Fewer opportunities may appear where employer budgets do not align. This is a normal matching outcome, not a penalty.

Your salary or rate expectation is a preference signal only and does not create a binding offer, compensation promise, or contractual commitment by Wigiwork or an employer.

If you change your salary or rate expectation, the new amount applies only to new Access Requests and new Profile Access grants. Existing requests and access grants continue to show the amount displayed when they were created.

1.7 Skill Confirmations and References

Wigiwork provides optional Skill Confirmation and Reference features. Candidates may add a Reference to a Work Experience entry or request one from someone they have worked with.

For a requested Reference, the candidate provides their real name, the contact's name, and email address. Wigiwork sends the contact a link, which expires after 5 days if unanswered. Skill Confirmation request links also expire after 5 days. Submitted References do not expire.

Skill Confirmations and References may be used as profile signals supporting matching. Confirmations are submitted by people selected by the candidate and are not necessarily independently investigated by Wigiwork. These features are not background checks, Wigiwork certifications, Verified Ticks, company or hiring-authority verification, proof that a provider represents a named employer, or proof of professional ability, performance or qualifications. They do not guarantee visibility, contact, interviews, offers or hiring.

Candidates may hide or delete Skill Confirmations and References. Hiding keeps the item but stops it being displayed; deletion follows Wigiwork's existing deletion rules.

Reviewers and Reference providers may contact privacy@wigiwork.com to correct or withdraw their information or exercise applicable privacy rights. Companies may use displayed contact information only to follow up about the specific Skill Confirmation or Reference.

2. Profile Strength (Star Rating)

Wigiwork may display a Profile Strength rating, shown as stars, on candidate profiles, candidate cards, and other applicable Wigiwork profile surfaces, including public profile views.

Profile Strength is a standard Wigiwork-generated profile element and cannot be selectively hidden or removed while the profile remains active.

Profile Strength reflects profile completeness and the usefulness and consistency of profile information. It is not an assessment of employability or professional ability.

Profile Strength does not guarantee employer interest, shortlisting, Access Requests, interviews, offers, or hiring outcomes.

2.1 Profile Strength and Profile Information

Candidates remain responsible for keeping their profile information accurate, current, and appropriate for their selected visibility mode.

Leaving an optional profile section incomplete is allowed and does not prevent you from using Wigiwork.

2.2 Profile Strength Limitations

Profile Strength does not verify the truth of every claim in your profile. It does not measure or represent your identity, protected characteristics, qualifications, competence, trustworthiness, salary value, or suitability for any specific job.

2.3 Review of Profile Strength

If you believe your Profile Strength rating is inaccurate, you may request a review or explanation.

Wigiwork may provide a meaningful explanation and correct confirmed errors.

Requesting a review will not itself be used as a negative signal or penalty in visibility, ranking, matching, Discovery, or future opportunities.

3. Identity Protection & Access Control

Identity on Wigiwork is protected by design.

"Profile Access" means a Wigiwork-approved method through which a candidate permits additional profile information to be viewed. Profile Access may occur through an Access Request, Automatic Access, Share Profile, an External Private Share Link, sharing authorized through an outreach invitation, or another candidate-authorized method expressly described in the applicable policy.

3.1 Identity Is Hidden by Default

Employers do not see Wigiwork-controlled identity or restricted underlying profile content, such as your name, email, phone number, real photo, contact details, the Professional Summary (the candidate-written summary field), documents, photos, references, links, hidden employer names, or work-history descriptions, unless you grant Profile Access through a Wigiwork-approved workflow or choose to display the applicable information through your selected settings, subject to system limitations and applicable law.

Full Access normally reveals employer names in work-experience entries. Names you have specifically chosen to keep hidden remain hidden. Limited Access follows its authorized scope.

3.2 Profile Access Must Follow Approved Workflows

Profile Access must occur only through candidate-authorized workflows.

Employers and recipients of External Private Share Links must:

  • use only Wigiwork-approved Profile Access workflows;
  • respect the access level, visible information, purpose, and duration selected by you;
  • never pressure you to reveal additional identity or contact information;
  • never attempt external identification;
  • never pattern-match profiles to identify you; and
  • never search external platforms, databases, or other sources to identify you.

Violations may result in enforcement action.

3.2A Sharing Through Outreach Invitations

Accepting an outreach invitation authorizes profile sharing with the inviting company or hiring client, subject to the applicable invitation conditions and supported Private Listing rules. No further approval is required for that authorized share. A company's Connect action instead starts an Access Request and does not itself authorize identity disclosure.

New members' profiles are shared only after onboarding is complete and the applicable invitation conditions are met. Existing members with completed profiles authorize immediate sharing by accepting a valid invitation. Initial sharing through a job-specific invitation requires the completed profile to meet the role requirements.

Sharing remains limited to the applicable recipient, purpose, access level and duration and is subject to expiry and revocation. Accepting an invitation does not authorize unrelated marketing communications.

Complete invitation, access, expiry and revocation conditions are described in Visibility & Identity Controls.

3.3 External Private Share Link

Candidates may create an External Private Share Link for sharing outside Wigiwork's normal Access Request process.

Each link:

  • lasts 4, 8, or 12 weeks;
  • shows the candidate-provided name and standard professional profile sections;
  • may include optional sections selected by the candidate;
  • hides unselected optional information, the Wigiwork username, and activity status;
  • excludes uploaded reference letters; and
  • reflects the candidate's current included profile information while active.

Anyone with the link may be able to view it. Candidates are responsible for recipients and may revoke or delete the link at any time.

Revocation or deletion ends future access, subject to reasonable processing delays and system limitations. Wigiwork cannot control information already copied, recorded, forwarded, or retained outside the platform.

3.4 Revoking Profile Access

You may revoke Profile Access at any time, either for an individual authorization or for all access held by a company. Other valid authorizations continue unless also revoked, subject to reasonable processing time.

After revocation, employers must stop using the revoked information, stop further contact based on that access, and delete manually stored information unless retention is strictly required by applicable law.

Where retention is legally required, the information must be stored securely and used only for the required legal or compliance purpose.

3.5 Identity Misuse

Employers and recipients of External Private Share Links must not:

  • deanonymize or re-identify candidates outside approved workflows;
  • reuse information for unrelated roles or purposes;
  • scrape, export, or build external datasets from candidate profiles;
  • share External Private Share Links or restricted information with unauthorized parties;
  • use information beyond the authorized access level, purpose, or duration.

Serious violations may result in restriction, suspension, termination, loss of verification, or legal action.

3.6 Identity Reset

You may reset your anonymous identity through the available account controls.

Visibility history, employer access history and related links are cleared from normal user-facing workflows, and your existing conversations end for you. Companies may retain earlier conversations under your previous anonymous identity without a link to your new identity. Your previous username is permanently retired.

Any pending or active Profile Access and any External Private Share Links associated with the previous identity are revoked. After the reset, you appear under a new anonymous identity in Discovery. Identity Reset is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Wigiwork does not display or restore links between your previous and new anonymous identities in normal user-facing workflows. Limited internal records may remain where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, audit, legal obligations, dispute resolution, compliance, or enforcement of Identity Reset restrictions.

Identity Reset must not be used to reapply to the same role, evade employer decisions or platform restrictions, manipulate visibility, ranking, Discovery, or shortlisting, or create multiple identities for an unfair advantage.

Wigiwork does not guarantee that recognition, inference, or re-identification is impossible in every circumstance.

3.7 Verified Tick

Candidates may complete Wigiwork's private verification check to receive a Verified Tick.

Candidate verification is optional unless Wigiwork specifically requires it for security, fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance, account integrity, platform integrity, or access to a particular feature.

For candidates using anonymous profiles, completing verification does not expose their real identity or change their selected visibility settings.

The Verified Tick confirms only that the candidate completed the applicable private verification check. It does not verify skills, qualifications, professional ability, work history, trustworthiness, employability, or suitability for a role.

Verification status may be used as one of several trust, authenticity, profile-presentation, Discovery, ranking, or recommendation signals. It is separate from Profile Strength and does not guarantee visibility, employer interest, Access Requests, interviews, offers, or hiring outcomes.

Further information is provided in the Verified Tick Notice.

4. Profile Visibility & Discovery Controls

Wigiwork offers three visibility modes and related control tools to help candidates manage how they appear to employers.

A Wigi Highlight may be generated and displayed to employers in all visibility modes, alongside the profile fields made visible under the candidate's selected visibility settings.

4.1 Visibility Modes

You may choose between Fully Anonymous, Semi-Anonymous, and Open Profile modes to control which professional profile information and optional profile sections are displayed.

Your name, real photo, and Wigiwork-controlled contact details are not automatically displayed through a visibility mode and remain subject to Wigiwork's Profile Access and sharing controls.

Changing your visibility mode affects future disclosure but does not reverse previous disclosure. Previous viewers may still recognize you. Identity Reset is a separate control and does not guarantee that prior disclosures or information held outside Wigiwork can no longer identify you.

For the complete and current description of what is displayed or hidden under each visibility mode, see Visibility & Identity Controls.

4.2 External Profile Links

Candidates may choose to add links to third-party websites, portfolios, professional profiles, social networks, exchanges, or other external services.

Candidates are responsible for the links they add and should ensure that linked content is accurate, lawful, appropriate, and does not reveal identity or other information they intended to keep hidden.

External links are operated by third parties and are subject to those third parties' own terms, privacy policies, security practices, and availability. Wigiwork does not control or endorse external websites or services and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, security, availability, or data practices, except to the extent required by applicable law.

Candidates should review how an external link may affect their anonymity before making it visible.

4.3 Wigi Highlights

Wigi Highlights are AI-generated professional narratives designed to summarize your professional background without intentionally displaying Wigiwork-controlled direct identity information. They are designed to help employers quickly understand your professional experience, skills, strengths, preferences, and availability.

Wigi Highlights are generated from your complete professional profile and are designed not to include your name, email address, phone number, real photo, restricted employer, client, or organisation names, named individuals, or other restricted identifiers, in any visibility mode.

They may reflect accurate professional information — including achievements, projects, technologies, and quantified results — even where the related profile sections are not separately displayed under your selected visibility mode.

Because Wigi Highlights are generated automatically, they may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or may unintentionally include or combine profile details in a way that increases the risk of identification.

You are responsible for keeping the information in your profile accurate and appropriate for your selected visibility mode. Free-text descriptions, achievements, projects, links, uploaded materials, and other information you provide may influence your Wigi Highlight and may affect identifiability.

If you believe your Wigi Highlight contains inaccurate, outdated, sensitive, or unintentionally identifying information, you may report it through the available in-product control or contact privacy@wigiwork.com. When a report concerns possible identity exposure, Wigiwork temporarily replaces the displayed Wigi Highlight while the issue is reviewed. This limits future display through Wigiwork-controlled profile surfaces but cannot reverse information already viewed, copied, saved, or retained outside Wigiwork.

4.4 Block companies

You may block any employer. Wigiwork will prevent a blocked employer from viewing, contacting, shortlisting, or discovering you through Wigiwork-controlled employer and outreach workflows, subject to processing delays, caching, prior lawful disclosures, system limitations, and applicable law.

Blocking a company ends its existing Profile Access, closes its pending requests and withdraws your active applications to that company.

Blocking an employer does not automatically revoke an existing External Private Share Link. Access through that link continues until the link expires or is separately revoked or deleted.

4.5 Remote discovery and privacy preferences

You may select regions for remote discovery without changing your work location. These preferences do not restrict every visibility or sharing route. You may also manage company exclusions and agency discoverability through the available privacy controls. Full controls and limitations are described in Visibility & Identity Controls.

4.6 Availability Status

You may change your availability status.

Taking a Break and Offline remove your profile from Discovery until you select an active status again. Wigiwork does not select profiles with either status for new outreach.

If you select Offline, pending Profile Access Requests are declined, approved Profile Access is revoked, and active External Private Share Links are disabled. This applies only to Offline, not Taking a Break. Returning to an active status does not restore revoked access or disabled links; companies must obtain new access and you must create a new link.

Status changes may take a short time to apply because of processing or caching delays.

4.7 Communication consent

Employers cannot message you while you are Offline or have blocked them. Taking a Break prevents new contact from companies without an existing relationship; existing conversations remain open.

Users are responsible for communications they independently send outside Wigiwork. This does not limit Wigiwork's responsibilities for communications it sends or arranges, or its obligations under applicable law.

4.8 Profile Activity

Wigiwork may display a "Profile Activity" or "last active" indicator, which reflects the most recent time a user had contact with the Wigiwork system. This may include actions such as logging in, using the Wigiwork platform, or clicking a Wigiwork link.

This indicator is provided only to give a general sense of recent activity. It does not confirm that a candidate is available, actively looking, or will respond, and Wigiwork does not guarantee its accuracy or timeliness.

4.9 Profile Strength and Visibility

Profile Strength is explained in the Profile Strength section above.

Profile Strength may be one of several neutral signals used to support profile presentation, ordering, or visibility within Wigiwork, including Discovery Search and shortlists.

5. Discovery & Search

Employers may search for and discover professional profiles through Wigiwork's Discovery feature. Member profile information remains subject to the applicable visibility and Profile Access controls.

Direct identity information remains hidden in Discovery unless the candidate grants Profile Access through a Wigiwork-approved workflow or otherwise permits display through the candidate's selected settings.

Discovery results are generated automatically using profile information, including skills, experience, availability, role preferences, work preferences, profile completeness, activity, verification status, and other relevant platform signals.

Wigiwork uses professional information and job requirements to identify relevant jobs and recommend profiles. This affects which jobs and profiles are presented. Wigiwork does not request or intentionally use health, ethnicity, religion, union membership, or similar sensitive information to assess job relevance.

If you believe a matching result is inaccurate, you may request human review through support@wigiwork.com. Wigiwork will review reported errors and correct confirmed errors.

Ranking, matching, visibility, and search results are automated and provided on a best-effort basis. Wigiwork does not guarantee that any candidate profile will appear in Discovery, appear in any particular search result, receive any ranking position, or receive any level of visibility, views, requests, contact, or engagement.

Candidates may update, pause, hide, restrict, or remove profile information at any time. Candidate visibility may also change based on profile updates, availability, privacy settings, blocking settings, platform rules, moderation, compliance, or system changes.

Wigiwork protects proprietary and security-sensitive details of Discovery and related systems. This does not limit your right to information, explanations, or review required by applicable law.

Wigiwork may change, tune, limit, suspend, remove, or disable any part of Discovery at any time to improve relevance, privacy, safety, compliance, performance, or platform quality.

Discovery, Wigi Highlights, recommendations, search results, automated profile explanations, and other automated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misleading.

They are not verified factual statements about a candidate's identity, current employer, past employer, affiliation, qualifications, availability, hiring status, or suitability unless expressly marked as verified by Wigiwork. Users and employers must independently verify information before relying on it or taking action.

5A. Employer Activity Statuses

Wigiwork may display status updates showing activity connected to a company, job, or hiring workflow. These statuses are informational only and do not mean that you have received a job offer, secured an interview, been guaranteed contact, or been selected for employment.

The statuses reflect activity at that time only. They do not guarantee that the company will contact you or continue the hiring process.

Authorizing sharing does not confirm that the company has reviewed your profile, accessed restricted information or opened a chat.

Wigiwork's recommendations do not, by themselves, mean that a company has shortlisted you.

6. Employer Obligations Toward Candidate Rights

Employers must:

  • respect your selected visibility mode and Profile Access choices;
  • use your information only for the authorized role, purpose, access level, and duration;
  • follow Wigiwork's anonymity, confidentiality, expiry, revocation, and deletion rules;
  • stop using information when access expires or is revoked;
  • delete manually stored information unless retention is required by law;
  • comply with applicable non-discrimination laws; and
  • respect your stated salary or rate expectation.

Because employers see your salary or rate expectation before requesting access, they must:

  • request access only where their available budget is reasonably aligned;
  • not lowball or pressure you to accept materially lower compensation;
  • not misrepresent salary or other compensation terms;
  • not use bait-and-switch practices; and
  • not waste your time where no realistic alignment exists.

Employers must not:

  • attempt to identify you outside approved workflows;
  • search external platforms, databases, or other sources to identify you;
  • save or reuse your identity for another role without permission;
  • scrape, export, copy, forward, or misuse your information;
  • bypass visibility or Profile Access controls;
  • contact you outside Wigiwork without authorization; or
  • use an External Private Share Link beyond the authorized information, purpose, recipient, or duration.

Your stated salary or rate expectation does not guarantee an offer at that amount. Compensation discussions must be honest and made in good faith.

Violations may result in enforcement action.

Employers that process candidate information outside Wigiwork are responsible for that processing and may have separate obligations under applicable data-protection law. This does not limit Wigiwork's own obligations under applicable law.

7. Wigiwork's Responsibilities & Enforcement

Wigiwork helps protect candidate privacy through:

  • anonymous-by-design workflows;
  • Wigi-DNA™ protective safeguards;
  • abuse and fraud-prevention controls;
  • identity-protection workflows;
  • visibility mode controls;
  • employer compliance and enforcement processes.

Wigiwork may take action against employers who violate candidate rights, including warnings, credit removal, access restrictions, suspension, or account termination.

You are not penalized for choosing privacy or using Wigiwork's visibility controls.

Wigiwork retains discretion in determining appropriate enforcement action and is not required to disclose investigation details, security methods, fraud-detection logic, or enforcement outcomes where doing so could affect privacy, safety, security, legal compliance, or platform integrity.

8. Additional Rights Under Privacy Law

Depending on your region, including the EU, UK, Canada, California, or other applicable jurisdictions, you may have privacy rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, human review, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to contact a regulator.

Wigiwork will honour objections to direct marketing, including profiling related to that marketing.

Anyone receiving Wigiwork outreach may select No more emails like this without registering or signing in. This stops future outreach to that address across all Wigiwork outreach programs. Normal account and message notifications remain separate. Wigiwork retains the minimum suppression information needed to honour the request.

Members and non-members may contact privacy@wigiwork.com to exercise applicable privacy rights.

For more information, see the Privacy Policy, Your Privacy Rights, and Data Protection Notice.

For other privacy requests, Wigiwork may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity and apply only the limitations permitted by applicable law.
