1. Automated Systems and Wigi Highlights
Wigiwork uses automated systems, including tools developed under Wigi IQ Labs™, to support professional discovery and platform operations.
These systems may support:
- Discovery and search;
- candidate-job matching and recommendations;
- professional sourcing and outreach matching;
- ranking and shortlist views;
- profile structuring and presentation;
- generation and display of Wigi Highlights and other automated profile explanations across Fully Anonymous, Semi-Anonymous, and Open Profile profiles, subject to applicable profile information and settings;
- compensation-related matching or information where relevant; and
- safety, moderation, fraud prevention, and platform integrity.
1.1 Wigi Highlights
For registered members, Wigi Highlights are generated from the candidate's complete professional profile information, including professional information from sections that may not be separately displayed under the candidate's selected visibility mode. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misleading and may combine professional information in a way that affects identifiability.
Wigi Highlights remain anonymous-facing even where a viewer separately receives additional candidate information through an authorised visibility setting or Profile Access.
They must not be treated as verified facts, complete candidate profiles, or definitive assessments of professional ability or suitability.
1.2 Information and Legal Treatment
Automated systems may use relevant professional, profile, job, activity, availability, compensation, safety, compliance, and platform-integrity information where permitted by applicable law. Relevant professional information from public sources or professional-information providers may also support sourcing and outreach, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Wigiwork does not intentionally use protected characteristics as ranking, matching, recommendation, shortlist, or visibility factors. Wigiwork-controlled direct identity fields are not intentionally used to assess professional suitability or rank candidates. Relevant company identifiers may be used to apply Hide From, employer-conflict protections, and other privacy or access restrictions.
Wigiwork assesses applicable recruitment-related systems under relevant AI, privacy, employment, equality, and data-protection laws. Where an applicable system falls within a high-risk category under the EU AI Act, Wigiwork applies the governance, transparency, and oversight framework described in AI Act Compliance (EU).
Users remain responsible for the accuracy of information they provide. Wigiwork does not independently verify all user-provided information.
2. Anonymous-Facing Discovery and Recommendations
Wigiwork may display identity-protected member profiles and professional background examples, as described in §11, alongside recommendations that appear potentially relevant to an employer's hiring needs.
Visibility and inclusion may depend on:
- professional and profile information;
- job criteria and hiring requirements;
- candidate availability, preferences, and settings;
- the candidate's selected visibility mode;
- privacy, company-exclusion, and blocking controls, including Public Discoverability where applicable;
- applicable platform, safety, compliance, and integrity rules.
Wigiwork-controlled direct identity and contact information remains hidden unless the candidate authorizes Profile Access, uses another specific sharing control, or disclosure is required by law.
Anonymous-facing recommendations may still contain professional details that carry residual re-identification risk. Employers and other users must not use those details to identify, trace, cross-reference, or deanonymize a candidate.
Wigiwork does not guarantee that a particular candidate, employer, job, recommendation, or result will appear.
3. Recommendations and Shortlist Views
Where supported, Wigiwork may include potentially relevant member profiles in employer-facing recommendation or shortlist views.
Appearance in one of these views means only that the candidate may be relevant for further consideration. It does not establish or guarantee:
- eligibility, qualification, or suitability;
- selection or employer interest;
- an interview, offer, or hiring outcome; or
- that every potentially relevant candidate was displayed.
Wigiwork-generated recommendations and shortlist views do not, by themselves, mean that a company has shortlisted the candidate. A candidate's Shortlisted status reflects the company's decision to consider them further.
Recommendation and shortlist views may change as profile information, job criteria, candidate settings, privacy controls, platform rules, or system conditions change.
Wigiwork does not guarantee that every job will produce a recommendation or shortlist view or that a shortlist will be the first action associated with a job.
Appearance in these views does not itself disclose Wigiwork-controlled direct identity or contact information. Those fields remain subject to candidate-authorized Profile Access, another specific sharing control, or disclosure required by law.
4. Matching, Ranking and Display
Wigiwork may categorize, filter, rank, display, recommend, or surface candidates, jobs, profiles, and other platform content, subject to applicable law, candidate settings, privacy controls, and platform rules.
Outreach matching uses professional skills, experience, qualifications, and relevant job or company requirements, subject to applicable profile settings and company exclusions.
Initial sharing through a job-specific outreach invitation proceeds only where the completed profile meets the role requirements. Later profile updates use the normal matching and candidate-authorized sharing controls.
Visibility and inclusion may depend on:
- relevant professional and profile information;
- job criteria and hiring requirements;
- candidate availability, preferences, and settings;
- verification status and related trust or authenticity signals where relevant;
- relevant activity or engagement information; and
- applicable safety, compliance, quality, and platform-integrity considerations.
Verification status may be used as one of several signals supporting profile presentation, Discovery, ranking, recommendations, or shortlist views.
A Verified Tick is not an assessment of professional ability, qualifications, work history, employability, or suitability and does not guarantee visibility, employer interest, shortlisting, interviews, offers, or hiring outcomes.
Where available and permitted by the candidate's controls, confirmation and reference status, private ratings, and related confirmation or reference information may be used as some of several relevance or trust signals.
They are not sole or determinative factors and do not make hiring, rejection, or other employment decisions. Feature controls are explained in Candidate Rights & Identity Controls.
Identity documents, selfie or liveness captures, and biometric verification material are not used as ranking, matching, recommendation, shortlist, or visibility factors.
Visibility, placement, inclusion, ranking, recommendations, and shortlist outcomes are not guaranteed and may change when relevant information, settings, criteria, or platform conditions change.
Users must not reverse-engineer, manipulate, bypass, interfere with, or attempt to improperly influence Wigiwork's matching, ranking, recommendation, shortlist, or display systems.
Where required by applicable law, Wigiwork provides understandable information about the data used, the relevant automated processing, and its effect. Proprietary, confidential, and security-sensitive information is protected only to the extent permitted by law.
Invitations to connect with a company without a linked job do not require a further suitability check after onboarding. Sharing follows the valid invitation's conditions described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
5. No Paid Ranking or Preferential Placement
Wigiwork does not offer pay-to-win ranking or allow employers to purchase preferential treatment in Discovery, matching, recommendations, rankings, or shortlist views.
Payment for credits, subscriptions, verification fees, Profile Access, messaging, integrations, or other platform features does not purchase:
- a higher ranking;
- guaranteed visibility or inclusion;
- preferential recommendations or shortlisting; or
- candidate responses, interviews, offers, or hiring outcomes.
Wigiwork may apply platform rules intended to support relevance, quality, fairness, safety, compliance, and platform integrity.
If Wigiwork introduces a material paid-placement, promoted-visibility, advertising, or sponsorship feature, it will provide appropriate notice and distinguish paid placement where required by applicable law.
6. Wigi AI and Operational Processing
Wigi AI and other automated features may process limited contextual information to provide responses and operate, secure, support, evaluate, and improve Wigiwork features.
Operational AI processing is separate from internal model training or refinement and from third-party general-purpose model training. Applicable training restrictions and data-use information are described in the AI & Automated Decision Notice and Privacy Policy.
Wigi AI may ask candidates about the roles, companies, work environments, and types of work they prefer. Those answers may support matching where relevant, and candidates may review and update them at any time. These preference questions and answers are not screening or interview questions and do not assess, judge, score, accept, reject, or make employment decisions about candidates.
Wigiwork does not currently generate AI screening questions or AI-assisted interview assessments, including interview ratings, interview scores, interview summaries, or interview recommendations.
7. Fairness and Non-Discrimination
Wigiwork designs and reviews relevant automated systems to support fair, relevant, and lawful professional discovery.
The identity and protected-characteristic limits described in §1.2 apply to this processing.
Automated systems cannot guarantee the elimination of every bias, indirect difference, proxy effect, inaccurate output, or misuse by another user.
Employers, recruiters, agencies, and other users must not use automated outputs to unlawfully discriminate, infer protected characteristics, or unfairly disadvantage a person.
Detailed information about fairness reviews, applicable audits, protected characteristics, and system limitations is provided in AI Bias & Fairness.
8. System Limitations and Independent Review
Automated recommendations, rankings, Wigi Highlights, profile explanations, shortlist views, and other outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, inconsistent, misleading, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
Outputs may change as relevant information changes, including:
- candidate profiles, availability, preferences, and settings;
- job criteria and employer requirements;
- privacy and visibility controls;
- platform rules and conditions; and
- system functionality.
Automated outputs must not be treated as verified facts, definitive assessments, or the sole basis for a significant hiring, rejection, compensation, or employment decision.
Employers, recruiters, and agencies must independently review relevant information and remain responsible for complying with applicable employment, equality, anti-discrimination, privacy, AI, and data-protection laws.
Employers make final hiring and employment decisions. Wigiwork remains responsible for its own automated processing, including matching and requirements checks that affect which jobs or profiles are presented and whether an initial job-specific outreach share proceeds.
9. Profile Strength
Profile Strength is an automated profile-completeness indicator that reflects the completeness, usefulness, and consistency of the professional information provided by the candidate.
Profile Strength is generated automatically, including AI-assisted assessment of professional profile content.
It is not an assessment of professional ability, employability, experience quality, qualifications, salary value, identity, or suitability for a role.
Profile Strength is separate from the Verified Tick. Completing verification does not cause Profile Strength to become a verification of identity, skills, qualifications, work history, professional ability, or suitability.
Profile Strength may affect how profile completeness is presented or used in ordering where applicable, but it does not guarantee:
- visibility or employer interest;
- inclusion in recommendations or shortlist views;
- an Access Request;
- an interview or offer; or
- any hiring outcome.
Profile Strength may change when relevant profile information changes.
Candidates may request information about or review of their Profile Strength. Wigiwork may explain the result or correct a confirmed error. Requesting review will not itself be treated as a negative signal or penalty.
Detailed candidate rights and review options are described in Candidate Rights & Identity Controls.
10. Proprietary Systems and Transparency Limits
Wigiwork protects its proprietary technology, confidential information, trade secrets, and security-sensitive system information.
Where applicable law requires information or an explanation about automated processing, Wigiwork will provide the required information in an understandable form. Wigiwork protects the following information to the extent permitted by applicable law:
- source code;
- model architecture or routing;
- scoring weights, formulas, or thresholds;
- trade secrets or confidential business information; or
- security-sensitive detection, moderation, fraud-prevention, or implementation details.
Users must not extract, copy, replicate, reverse-engineer, manipulate, interfere with, or attempt to discover non-public aspects of Wigiwork's automated systems except where expressly permitted by applicable law, the Security & Responsible Disclosure policy, or written authorization from Wigiwork.
11. Member Profiles and Professional Background Examples
Wigiwork displays active member profiles and may also include demonstration profiles that illustrate professional backgrounds and platform features. Demonstration profiles are not member profiles; their information, including any estimated market rate, is illustrative.
Within authenticated Discovery, Invite to Wigiwork means: "We'll reach out to professionals with this background and invite them to explore opportunities with your company."
Selecting it authorizes Wigiwork to source and contact suitable professionals on the company's behalf, subject to applicable law. Outreach is free, uses no credits, and requires no job post. It does not guarantee a particular person's participation, a response, or an available member profile. Subsequent access to shared member profiles follows the normal Profile Access and pricing rules.
For professional background examples, Available to contact, where used, means Wigiwork can reach out to professionals with this background; no specific person's interest has been confirmed.
Within authenticated Discovery, a profile displaying Connect represents a registered candidate profile currently eligible to receive an Access Request. This does not verify every profile statement or guarantee responsiveness, approval, continued availability, or a hiring outcome.
12. Human Oversight and Automated-Processing Rights
Automated processing can affect which jobs and profiles are presented and whether an initial job-specific outreach share proceeds. Wigiwork applies the conditions and safeguards required by applicable law for its own automated processing.
Employers, recruiters, agencies, and other responsible hiring parties must independently review relevant outputs and apply appropriate human oversight. They remain responsible for all employment-related decisions and for complying with applicable employment, equality, anti-discrimination, privacy, AI, and data-protection laws.
Where automated processing produces legal or similarly significant effects, individuals may have applicable rights to:
- receive information about the relevant processing;
- correct inaccurate personal data;
- object to or contest certain processing or outcomes; and
- request human review where provided by applicable law.
You may request human review of an inaccurate matching result through support@wigiwork.com. Applicable privacy and automated-processing rights requests may be submitted to privacy@wigiwork.com without registering. Detailed rights and request procedures are described in the AI & Automated Decision Notice and Your Privacy Rights.
