1. Your Rights as a Candidate on Wigiwork

Wigiwork is designed to help you explore new opportunities safely, privately, and on your own terms.

1.1 The right to remain anonymous

You may:

  • Use an anonymous or pseudonymous profile
  • Hide personally identifying details (name, email, phone, real photo)
  • Reveal Wigiwork-controlled identity and contact details only when you choose
  • Decline or revoke identity access at any time

Employers are strictly prohibited from attempting to deanonymize you.

While Wigiwork is designed to keep you anonymous and applies safeguards to protect your identity, no system can guarantee that identification is impossible in all circumstances. Any references to being "anonymous," "always anonymous," or similar describe Wigiwork's privacy-by-design approach and your control over your identity — they are not an absolute guarantee against your own actions or external factors outside Wigiwork's control.

Where your visibility settings allow, anonymous profiles may be publicly viewable and may appear through search engines, AI tools, or automated systems. Wigiwork-controlled identity fields, such as your name, contact details, real photo, and hidden employer-name fields, are designed not to appear in publicly viewable or externally indexed anonymous profile views unless you approve access or choose to display them. However, information you enter into visible profile fields may still affect identifiability.

1.2 The right to control who sees you

You may:

  • Approve or deny employer Profile Access requests
  • Revoke identity access at any time
  • Block companies
  • Limit your visibility by region, industry, or employer type

If you do not respond to a Profile Access request within 5 days, it is automatically treated as declined. You are never required to respond, and taking no action carries the same effect as declining.

If an employer is blocked, Wigiwork will prevent that employer from viewing, contacting, shortlisting, or discovering you through Wigiwork-controlled workflows, subject to processing delays, caching, prior lawful disclosures, system limitations, and applicable law.

1.3 The right to explore safely (NDA-Safe™)

Wigiwork uses anonymous and NDA-Safe™ workflows to ensure:

  • Your job search stays private
  • Employers cannot request identity too early
  • You remain protected throughout early exploration
  • Wigiwork-controlled direct identity and contact details are not revealed without explicit approval

Your current employer will not be notified by Wigiwork that you are browsing, subject to system limitations and user actions.

1.4 The right to decline, ignore, block, or withdraw

You may freely:

  • Ignore any message or request
  • Decline any Profile Access request
  • Block any employer at any time
  • Withdraw from any conversation or opportunity

Wigiwork does not penalize you solely for declining, ignoring, blocking, or withdrawing. However, your visibility, ranking, matching, or opportunities may naturally change based on your settings, availability, blocked employers, profile completeness, moderation, compliance, platform rules, or system changes.

Repeatedly ignoring requests or messages may cause your availability status to automatically change from Actively Looking or Open to Offers to Taking a Break, to avoid wasting other users' time. You may change your availability status back at any time.

1.5 The right to update your information

You may update your skills, experience, role preferences, salary expectations, availability, visibility modes, and visibility filters. Your changes are applied through Wigiwork-controlled systems and usually take effect quickly, subject to processing, caching, security review, moderation, system delays, and applicable law.

1.6 The right to set your own salary expectations

You set your own salary expectations, and Wigiwork does not tell you what you are worth. However, salary expectations that are significantly above typical market range for your role, location, or experience may naturally result in fewer employer responses or Access Requests, since employers generally only pursue candidates whose expectations align with their budget. This is a natural market and matching effect, not a punitive penalty by Wigiwork. Salary expectations may affect matching, search relevance, employer filters, or employer interest where compensation alignment is relevant.

If you update your salary expectations after an employer has already submitted or been granted a Profile Access Request, the change will not apply to that existing request or approval. The employer will continue to see the salary expectation that was shown on your profile at the time they made the request. Your updated salary expectations will only apply to new requests submitted after the change.

1.7 Your Profile Strength (Star Rating)

Wigiwork displays a Profile Strength rating, shown as stars, on your profile and on your candidate cards visible to employers.

The star rating reflects how complete and well-documented your profile is — not your skills, experience, seniority, or fit for any role. Wigiwork calculates this rating based on specific dashboard sections it considers useful for employers evaluating a candidate, including your Professional Summary, Skills, Work Experience, and Profile Evidence. Each section carries its own star sub-rating based on defined criteria (for example, the depth and specificity of listed skills, or the inclusion of role, company, and measurable achievements in your work experience).

Leaving a section incomplete is allowed and will not restrict your ability to use Wigiwork. However, incomplete sections may lower your Profile Strength score, and a lower score may reduce how prominently your profile appears in employer search and Discovery results.

Employers viewing your profile can see your Profile Strength star rating and can access a short explanation clarifying what the rating measures. This explanation makes clear to employers that Profile Strength reflects completeness only, and is not an assessment of your qualifications, competence, or suitability for any job.

1.8 Content quality and exaggeration affect your score

Profile Strength is not based on completeness alone. Generic or copied AI-generated text, incomplete or vague sections, and exaggerated or unverifiable claims about your experience may all lower your Profile Strength score.

Wigiwork encourages accurate, specific, and honest profile content because it directly affects how employers perceive and evaluate you, and because a lower score may reduce your visibility in employer search and Discovery results. This is not a penalty for dishonesty in a punitive sense — it reflects Wigiwork's effort to keep profile signals meaningful and trustworthy for employers making access decisions.

1.9 The right to request a review of your Profile Strength score

If you believe your Profile Strength score is inaccurate — for example, because content you wrote was incorrectly flagged as generic or AI-generated, or a section was scored incorrectly despite meeting the stated criteria — you may request a review or explanation of that score.

Wigiwork will provide a clear explanation of how your score was calculated and will correct any scoring error confirmed on review. Requesting a review will not be treated as a negative signal or penalty in visibility, ranking, matching, or future opportunities. Any score changes following review will reflect the applicable Profile Strength criteria or correction of confirmed scoring errors.

Wigiwork does not independently verify the truth of your claims. Content-quality scoring is based on automated plausibility and consistency checks — such as internal contradictions, generic or templated phrasing, or claims that are vague or unsupported by detail — not on confirmation of factual accuracy.

2. Identity Protection & Access Control

Identity on Wigiwork is protected by design.

2.1 Identity is hidden by default

Employers do not see Wigiwork-controlled direct identity fields, such as your name, email, phone number, real photo, contact details, or hidden employer-name fields, unless you explicitly approve a Profile Access request, subject to system limitations, user-selected visibility settings, and applicable law.

2.2 Identity requests must follow strict rules

Employers must:

  • Submit identity requests through official workflows
  • Wait for your approval
  • Never pressure candidates to reveal identity
  • Never attempt external identification
  • Never pattern-match profiles to identify candidates
  • Never search for you on external platforms

Violations result in enforcement actions.

2.3 Revoking identity access

You may revoke identity access at any time. When revoked:

  • Employers must immediately stop using your identity
  • Employers must delete any manually copied data
  • Employers must not contact you outside Wigiwork
  • Wigiwork enforces revocation strictly

Identity is always your choice.

Employers who store, share, or use candidate identity outside the platform are solely responsible for that conduct and act as independent controllers under applicable data-protection laws, including the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA. Wigiwork does not control, and is not liable for, actions taken by users outside the platform.

2.4 Identity misuse is prohibited

Employers cannot:

  • Attempt to deanonymize you
  • Save identity for unrelated future roles
  • Cross-reference your profile outside Wigiwork
  • Export or scrape your profile
  • Share your identity with third parties
  • Use identity without a valid approved role

Serious violations may result in suspension, termination, or legal action.

3. Profile Visibility & Discovery Controls

Wigiwork offers three visibility modes and several control tools to manage your exposure. A Wigi Highlight is generated and displayed to employers in all three visibility modes, alongside whatever additional profile fields your selected mode reveals.

3.1 Anonymous Mode (Recommended — default)

Your identity is fully protected. Employers see only:

  • Profile Title
  • Skills
  • Years of Experience
  • Username
  • Work Location
  • Work Format
  • Salary range
  • Availability Status
  • Work Experience (Title Only)
  • Work Experience (Duration)
  • Activity
  • Languages
  • Wigi Highlights (non-identifying summary)

What is a Wigi Highlight?

A Wigi Highlight is an AI-generated, anonymized summary of your profile, created automatically from your profile content (such as skills, experience, role preferences, and salary range) and shown to employers in place of your full profile. It updates automatically as you edit your profile, and you can preview it at any time.

Standard identifying markers — your name, email, phone number, real photo, and employer names — are automatically removed so your Highlight remains anonymous. This process is automated and may not catch every case. You are responsible for reviewing the content you enter, including free-text or description fields, before making your profile visible.

Wigiwork does not review, verify, or guarantee that information you enter is free of identifying or inaccurate content. Any identifying, inaccurate, or sensitive details you enter — including in unintended fields — may appear in your Wigi Highlight. Wigiwork does not guarantee that your Wigi Highlight is accurate, complete, or free of errors, and is not liable for any loss of anonymity, inaccuracy, omission, or other consequences resulting from content you submit or from the automated generation of your Highlight. Wigi Highlights are provided on an "as is" basis. You should review your profile and preview your Highlight before making it visible, because automated summaries may contain errors or details that affect identifiability.

If you believe your Wigi Highlight or profile has revealed identifying information unintentionally, contact privacy@wigiwork.com for review and correction.

3.2 Semi-Anonymous Mode

You can choose to show expanded professional information without revealing identity. Employers may see job titles (no company names), general experience, seniority, skills, salary expectations, and location preference — but still never your name, email, phone, real photo, contact details, or exact employer names. A balance of visibility and protection.

3.3 Visible Mode (Customizable)

You may choose to show more professional details for maximum exposure. You can optionally display past companies, expanded work history, education, certifications, a professional photo or WigiPic avatar (selected from the archive or generated from your own photo), and public links (if you choose). However, your contact details (email, phone) remain hidden and are revealed only after you approve a Profile Access request. Visible Mode = higher exposure with continued control over contact details and Profile Access requests.

3.4 Block companies

You may block any employer. A blocked employer cannot see your profile, message you, send access requests, shortlist you, view you in search, or find you in any feature. Blocking is silent and remains in effect until you choose to remove the restriction.

3.5 Limit visibility by region or industry

You may restrict where your profile appears — only in selected countries or regions, only in chosen industries, hidden from industries you distrust, or hidden from employers in sensitive locations. You decide where you appear.

3.6 Update your availability

You may change availability instantly between Actively Looking, Open to Offers, and Not Looking. Employers only see the version you choose.

3.7 Go Offline

Going Offline removes you from search and discovery, pauses suggestions, stops shortlists, and hides you from browsing queues. You remain anonymous and hidden. Wigiwork does not guarantee immediate removal from all system states due to processing or caching delays.

3.8 Taking a Break

This mode freezes your visibility entirely — no messages, no access requests, no search results, no shortlisting, and no employer outreach. Perfect for vacations, personal time, or burnout protection. Visibility suppression may take a short time to apply across all systems.

3.9 Communication consent

Employers can message you only when you are in a visible mode, they have credits, they are not blocked, you are not Offline, and you are not Taking a Break. You may ignore or decline any message with zero penalty.

Users who contact candidates outside the platform are solely responsible for that conduct. Wigiwork does not control, and is not liable for, communications that occur outside the platform, without limiting Wigiwork's own obligations as a data controller under applicable law.

3.10 Profile Activity

Wigiwork may display a "Profile Activity" or "last active" indicator, which reflects the most recent time a user had contact with the Wigiwork system. This may include actions such as opening a Wigiwork email or clicking a Wigiwork link, and is not limited to logging in.

This indicator is provided only to give a general sense of recent activity. It does not confirm that a candidate is available, actively looking, or will respond, and Wigiwork does not guarantee its accuracy or timeliness.

3.11 Profile Strength

The star shown on a profile represents its Profile Strength. Profile Strength reflects how complete a profile is — for example, whether sections such as summary, work experience, skills, and supporting proof have been filled in.

Profile Strength is a measure of completeness only. It does not represent a candidate's ability, skill level, suitability, or quality, and it is not a rating of the person. More complete profiles may appear more prominently in Discovery, but Profile Strength is not a ranking based on identity or protected characteristics.

4. Discovery & Search

Employers may search for and discover candidates through Wigiwork's Discovery feature. Discovery displays anonymous candidate profiles only. Direct identity information remains hidden unless and until the candidate approves a Profile Access Request.

Discovery results are generated automatically using profile information, including skills, experience, availability, role preferences, work preferences, profile completeness, activity, and other platform signals.

Ranking, matching, visibility, and search results are automated and provided on a best-effort basis. Wigiwork does not guarantee that any candidate profile will appear in Discovery, appear in any particular search result, receive any ranking position, or receive any level of visibility, views, requests, contact, or engagement.

Candidates may update, pause, hide, restrict, or remove profile information at any time. Candidate visibility may also change based on profile updates, availability, privacy settings, blocking settings, platform rules, moderation, compliance, or system changes.

For security, privacy, anti-abuse, and platform integrity reasons, Wigiwork does not disclose the specific methods, signals, weighting, ranking logic, matching logic, display rules, verification methods, criteria, provider details, or internal fraud-detection logic used in Discovery or related platform systems.

Wigiwork may change, tune, limit, suspend, remove, or disable any part of Discovery at any time to improve relevance, privacy, safety, compliance, performance, or platform quality.

Discovery, Wigi Highlights, Wigi Chat, recommendations, search results, profile summaries, and other automated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misleading.

They are not verified factual statements about a candidate's identity, current employer, past employer, affiliation, qualifications, availability, hiring status, or suitability unless expressly marked as verified by Wigiwork. Users and employers must independently verify information before relying on it or taking action.

5. Employer Obligations Toward Candidate Rights

Employers MUST:

  • Respect your visibility mode
  • Use access requests properly
  • Follow all anonymity and confidentiality rules
  • Stop using your identity after revocation
  • Delete manually stored data
  • Follow global non-discrimination laws
  • Use your data only for the approved role

Employers MUST NOT:

  • Attempt to identify you
  • Attempt external research
  • Save identity for future roles
  • Scrape or export your data
  • Circumvent access controls
  • Contact you off-platform without approval

Violations lead to strict enforcement.

Employers who act outside the platform or in violation of these obligations are solely responsible for that conduct and act as independent controllers under applicable data-protection laws. Wigiwork does not control such conduct, without limiting Wigiwork's own obligations as a data controller under applicable law.

6. Wigiwork's Responsibilities & Enforcement

Wigiwork protects your privacy using:

  • Anonymous-by-design architecture
  • Wigi-DNA™ watermarking & misuse detection
  • Abuse & fraud monitoring
  • Identity protection workflows
  • Visibility mode enforcement
  • Employer compliance auditing

We may take action against employers who violate candidate rights, including warnings, credit removal, access restrictions, suspensions, or bans. You are never penalized for choosing privacy. Wigiwork retains full discretion in determining enforcement actions and is not obligated to disclose investigation details or outcomes.

7. Additional Rights Under Privacy Law

Depending on your region (EU, UK, Canada, California, etc.), you may also have access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, human review, and data portability rights, as well as regulator complaint channels. See the Privacy Policy, Your Privacy Rights, and Data Protection Notice. These rights are subject to verification, legal limitations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
